ABOUT US

OUR HISTORY
Prosser's Methodist Episcopal Church was organized in 1895 as Prosser's first church. Our first sanctuary on Sheridan Avenue was built in 1898 (top left), later sharing space with the Prosser First Baptist Church, organized in 1905, until moving to their own building in 1909.
In 1922, we built and consecrated a new church at 824 Sixth Street (center right), later adding the education wing, dedicated in 1962. Additional updates have been made to the building (lower center) and our congregation through the years, as our denomination transitioned from Methodist Episcopal to Methodist to United Methodist.
The original Methodist Episcopal Church building now serves as the Prosser Funeral Home.
